Ministries

The University Church of Christ is composed of a number of ministries. The larger ones are highlighted on this page. Campus: University students are a core group at UCC. The UCC building's location across the street from New Mexico State University makes it an ideal location for university students to establish a spiritual home where they can  serve and grow.

Children: Children are a very important part of UCC. We provide classes especially for them on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights in addition to an annual Vacation Bible School. A group of members meet monthly to offer a special prayer for our children.

Women: Women have weekly Wednesday morning and Wednesday night Bible studies during the school year. They also sponsor the Dorcas Quilters which meet at 2 p.m. each Wednesday to make quilts for new babies in the congregation and others in need. (Previous quilting experience is not a requirement to participate.) The women's group also sponsors an annual retreat.

Youth: The Youth Ministry is one of the most active ministries at UCC. Lead by David Harrelson, there are activities for both middle and high school activities every week. Annual activities include summer camp, Fabulous 13, and backpacking.
