Women's Ministry
The Women's Ministry at UCC appreciates and celebrates all of the fine work our women do. However, we feel certain sisters need special recognition for going that second mile to serve our church, community, and our Lord. It is our pleasure to recognize these sisters every month. Sylvia Spray is our sister of the month for July 2008. Sylvia is always willing to help and assist whenever or wherever she is needed to do our Lord's work. Sylvia, we salute you!
To help us celebrate Sylvia, as July's sister of the month, we are asking you to write a message describing how Sylvia has touched your life. You will find a tablet and pen on our bulletin board. When you have written your message drop it in the tin located on the board.

The UCC cookbook has been sent to press so we are receiving no more recipes. However, you may still buy one or more cookbooks at $15.00 each. Give your order to Elena or Pat.
September 5-6, 2008 is the date planned for our Women's retreat. It will be held at the facilities of Holy Cross Retreat Center here in Las Cruces. The theme is "Friends are Friends Forever" This retreat is for our UCC women only. The cost for the retreat will be $52.00. This includes Friday supper, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and overnight accomidations. Please mark your calendars and plan to be there for a fun overnight stay with the girls. We are looking forward to deepening our friendships and making some new ones. Registration forms will soon be available to our Ladies.
